Synopsis

It's August 18th, 1981, the last day of the eight week summer camp at Camp Firewood. The camp counselors still have many tasks to accomplish on this last day leading to the culmination of camp this night, the talent show. But most of them, including the camp director, Beth, have other things on their mind, namely romantic relationships and in most cases sex. Beyond some other issues, for most it's either doing it with the one(s) they haven't done it with yet, doing it for the first time this camp season, and/or pursuing who they believe is their true love, the problem in the latter category being that most often the object of their affection doesn't return that affection in quite the same way. These romantic and sexual endeavors overtake their tasks this day and in preparation for the talent show. The show not only is threatened but the lives of all at camp are in jeopardy with an external issue which comes to Beth's attention at the last minute.
