Some of the musical choices in Wiesenthal seemed overly dramatic and clichéd, bordering on melodramatic at times. The use of sweeping orchestral arrangements and bombastic crescendos felt heavy-handed and detracted from the authenticity and subtlety of the film's portrayal of Simon Wiesenthal's real-life struggles and triumphs.
