Synopsis

The good-hearted Harbour has spent his whole life trying to take care of his motherless and suicidal little brother, Wilbur. The brothers are inseparable.

When in their thirties, they lose their father and inherit his second-hand bookshop.

One day Alice enters the shop with her little daughter. Alice is a cleaning lady at the nearby hospital and she sells the books that the patients leave behind.

The daughter Mary yearns for a home where the books don't always get sold.

Harbour falls in love with Alice and soon all four of them are closely intertwined in each other's lives - and perhaps even deaths.

The soundtrack of Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself lacks emotional depth and fails to capture the complex relationships portrayed in the film. The music feels generic and does not enhance the storytelling.

Ashley Evans
8/10

The music seamlessly blends with the poignant moments of the film, creating a sense of intimacy and connection with the characters and their struggles.

Andrew Carter
2/10

The choice of instruments and musical arrangements in the soundtrack of Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself feels mismatched with the tone of the film. The music often feels out of place and jarring, making it difficult for the audience to fully immerse themselves in the story.

Mary Taylor
8/10

The haunting melodies in the soundtrack evoke a sense of melancholy and hope, mirroring the themes of love, loss, and the complexities of human relationships portrayed in the film.

Carol Lee
1/10

The use of repetitive melodies in the soundtrack becomes tiresome and distracting. Instead of adding to the mood of the scenes, the music ends up feeling like background noise that takes away from the impact of the dialogues and character interactions.
