Synopsis

Zaytoun is a film set in 1982 during the Lebanese Civil War. The story follows an Israeli fighter pilot, Yoni, who is shot down and taken prisoner by Palestinian forces. While being held captive, Yoni forms an unlikely bond with a young Palestinian boy named Fahed. Together, they escape and embark on a dangerous journey across war-torn Lebanon to reach a shared goal: Fahed's ancestral home in Israel, where he hopes to plant an olive tree in memory of his father. Along the way, Yoni and Fahed must overcome their differences and learn to trust each other in order to survive.
