Las Gabardinas son un Británico experimental post-punk de la banda. Ana da Silva (voz, guitarra) y Gina Abedul (voz, bajo) formaron el grupo en 1977 mientras eran estudiantes en Hornsey College of Art en Londres.Firmó con el sello Rough Trade, la banda lanzó tres álbumes en su primera encarnación: La Impermeables (1979), Odyshape (1981), y en Movimiento (1984). Se reformó en el año 1993 y se publicó el álbum Buscando en las Sombras en 1996.
