Sinopsis
Hace 9 años, Ray Pierson fue juzgado por "asesinato en segundo grado". Algunos dirán que fue en defensa propia. Con mala suerte, Ray conoció a una hermosa mujer en un bar una noche en un pueblo lejos de su triste y patética vida. ¡Fue amor instantáneo en el primer sitio! Temiendo que la verdad haga que el momento con ella se desvanezca en el polvo, Ray miente sobre quién es y lo que ha hecho. El resultado la deja embarazada. Ray está condenado a 30 años de prisión. Ella se entera de la verdad. Decide escribirle una carta en la cárcel y adjuntar una fotografía de su hija de 3 meses. La carta prácticamente le permite a Ray saber que este es un "Adiós" para siempre. Solo viendo que fue condenado a 30 años; ella se imagina que nunca más se volverá a ver ni a saber de él en la vida. Ray mantiene la foto del niño con él en todo momento mientras está en prisión. A pesar de no tener ningún contacto, la idea de volver a ver a su hijo en la vida es lo único que lo mantiene vivo.
