Sinopsis
En 1980, el asistente del Departamento de Defensa Warren Lasky es asignado por su misterioso jefe Richard Tideman para visitar el portaaviones USS Nimtz comandado por el Capitán Matthew Yelland como observador de las rutinas. Lasky descubre que el comandante de ala Richard T. Owens tiene un gran conocimiento de la historia. De repente, el barco se enfrenta a una tormenta extraña y descubren que han viajado en el tiempo hasta la víspera del ataque de Pearl Harbor el 6 de diciembre de 1941. Cuando los dos ceros japoneses atacan la lancha del senador Samuel Chapman, la tripulación del Nimitz rescata al senador ya su asistente Laurel Scott.
