Sinopsis
Adaptado de "Kham Phiphaksa" ("El juicio"), una novela de Chat Kobjitti que ganó el premio SeaWrite de 1985, "Ai-Fak" es la historia de Fak, un joven tailandés que deja el monacato para cuidar de su padre enfermo. Cuando regresa a casa, descubre que su padre se ha casado con una mujer mucho más joven. Es muy hermosa, pero también está mentalmente desequilibrada. Luego, el padre muere, dejando a Fak a cargo de su loca madrastra. Pronto, los vecinos de Fak en esta remota aldea están hablando de él, diciendo que está durmiendo con su madrastra. Este rechazo de los aldeanos envía a Fak a una espiral de desesperación.
