Sinopsis
Guangzhou, China. Un edificio construido al estilo comunista de los años ochenta: Tian Xiu. Desde hace muchos años este es el Eldorado de los inmigrantes africanos que prueban suerte masivamente en esta ciudad. Electrónica, ropa, muebles, materiales de construcción ...: aquí todo está a la venta. Por un buen precio, aunque la calidad a veces deja mucho que desear. Como no se produce nada en África, los hombres y mujeres de Tian Xiu esperan enriquecerse mediante el comercio con su continente de origen. 'I'm New Here' esboza una mirada única entre bastidores de una nueva relación económica entre el continente africano y la superpotencia China a través de algunas de las personas que pueblan Tian Xiu. Algunos se adaptan a una velocidad invisible. Aprenden el idioma, entablan relaciones, ganan dinero y sobreviven.
