Dead Ringers

Beverly y Elliot Mantle son hermanos gemelos idénticos que trabajan juntos en una práctica conjunta como ginecólogos galardonados en investigación y práctica. Ambos han estado fascinados con el sistema reproductivo femenino desde que eran niños. A pesar de ser físicamente idénticos, son extremos opuestos en personalidad, Elliot siendo el extrovertido y Beverly el introvertido. Como tal, llevan una vida simbiótica, con la fortaleza de uno siendo la debilidad del otro, tanto personal como profesionalmente.

Los dos hermanos, bajo la apariencia de ser solo Beverly, comienzan una relación sexual con la actriz visitante Claire Niveau, quien viene a ver a Beverly profesionalmente sobre una anormalidad física que puede evitar que pueda concebir. Claire no sabe que Beverly tiene un hermano gemelo, y mucho menos que ha tenido relaciones sexuales con él. Cuando Claire se entera, inicialmente está disgustada pero continúa teniendo una relación únicamente con Beverly. La creciente obsesión de Beverly con Claire y su anormalidad física muestra finalmente cuán simbióticas e interconectadas son las vidas de los hermanos y el hecho de que uno no puede vivir sin el otro.
