Sinopsis

En la medianoche de Año Nuevo, el SS Poseidón es golpeado por una ola de marea de 90 pies y se vuelca. El reverendo Frank Scott lidera a nueve sobrevivientes; una pareja de ancianos, Manny y Belle Rosen, que se dirigían a Israel para ver a su nieto; un detective de Nueva York y su esposa ex prostituta, Mike y Linda Rogo, en su segunda luna de miel a Italia; un joven hermano y hermana, Robin y Susan Shelby, que iban a encontrarse con sus padres en Grecia; un sombrerero James Martin; una cantante pop Nonnie Parry; y un camarero del barco Acres.
