Sinopsis
En el año 2013, la civilización se ha autodestruido casi por completo. Tras una guerra que diezmó al gobierno y a la mayoría de la población de los Estados Unidos (posiblemente del mundo), las personas luchan por sobrevivir contra el hambre y grupos armados rebeldes.
Uno de estos grupos se llama los Holnistas. Este grupo es más grande que cualquier otro y su líder, el General Bethlehem, tiene delirios de gobernar el país. Un vagabundo es capturado por el grupo y obligado a unirse a ellos. Escapa en la primera oportunidad y se topa con una camioneta de correo con un esqueleto adentro. El esqueleto lleva puesto un uniforme postal y el vagabundo lo toma para mantenerse abrigado.
También encuentra una bolsa de correo y comienza a engañar a la gente con cartas antiguas. La esperanza que ve en las personas a las que entrega cartas cambia sus planes y decide que debe ayudar a derrocar a los Holnistas.
