Sinopsis
La historia aparentemente simple de un maestro veterano comprensivo que da lecciones de italiano a una clase semanal de inmigrantes diversos recibe infinitamente más profundidad y complejidad por la forma en que el director Daniele Gaglianone interpreta su historia. Desdibujando las líneas entre realidad y ficción, verdad y artificio, y entre documental y drama, Gaglianone ha creado una película dentro de una película. Se ve el aparente artificio del equipo de Gaglianone utilizando profesionales, incluido el célebre actor de cine Valerio Mastandrea como profesor, interrelacionado con protagonistas inmigrantes "reales", que estudian el idioma para mejorar sus posibilidades de empleo y de obtener un permiso de residencia permanente. Así, en el transcurso de las lecciones existe simultáneamente la relación dolorosa y perturbadora de las historias personales de los estudiantes, pero también el humor, ya que interactúan y comparten su humanidad, salvando diferencias culturales, unidos en su lucha por hacer una vida mejor para ellos.
