Sinopsis
Una familia de nómadas vive en las montañas altas y remotas de Kirguistán en Asia Central; anciano pastor Tabyldy, su esposa Karachach, su nuera Shaiyr y su nieta de 7 años Umsunai. El hijo de Shaiyr estudia en la ciudad y los visita solo durante las vacaciones de verano. Su esposo murió hace muchos años cuando se ahogó en un río de montaña, tratando de salvar a un potro. Shaiyr decidió quedarse con la familia debido a su fuerte apego a la maravillosa tierra y su gente. La familia cría caballos y la vida transcurre con normalidad en medio del hermoso paisaje del desfiladero de la montaña. Pero otro residente de la zona aparece en la vida de Shaiyr, el meteorólogo Ermek, cuya estación meteorológica se encuentra cerca de la casa de la familia ...
