Sinopsis
A través de líneas de tiempo que se cruzan, Open rastrea la desaparición de una relación aparentemente estable entre dos mujeres inteligentes de veintitantos años. La cultura clandestina gay de Nueva York proporciona el telón de fondo para esta historia que rompe los estereotipos típicos que enfrentan a las lesbianas como aburridas sin sexo en serie monógamas que no pueden adoptar suficientes niños o ninfas hambrientas de consoladores. La historia comienza con el resultado de la ruptura de Sam y Gabby y fluye hacia atrás para revelar a una tercera mujer en la mezcla y un final inesperado que uno nunca sospecharía. No es hasta la última línea de la película que todas las piezas encajan, revelando la verdadera razón de la ruptura.
