Sinopsis

En el barrio de Hell's Kitchen de Nueva York, cuatro jóvenes amigos, Lorenzo "Shakes" Carcaterra, Michael Sullivan, John Reilly y Tommy Marcano, cometen un acto de vandalismo que resulta en la muerte accidental de un hombre.

Los cuatro son enviados a un centro de detención juvenil, donde son abusados física y sexualmente por los guardias. Después de su liberación, cada uno sigue su propio camino, pero el pasado los persigue.

Veinte años después, Shakes, ahora un periodista, descubre que uno de los guardias del centro de detención está trabajando como detective. Junto con sus amigos, planean una venganza elaborada para hacer justicia por lo que les sucedió en su juventud.

La película "Sleepers" explora temas de amistad, traición, justicia y redención en un entorno urbano hostil y violento.
