Sinopsis
"Tu mano en la mía" es la historia de Loring "Red" Nichols, un chico del campo que toca la corneta y que se muda a Nueva York en la década de 1920 lleno de ambición musical y principios. Consigue un trabajo tocando en la banda de Wil Paradise, pero renuncia para perseguir su sueño de tocar jazz Dixieland. Forma los "Five Pennies" que cuentan con su esposa, Bobbie, como vocalista. En la cúspide de su fama, la hija de Red y Bobbie, Dorothy, contrae polio. Red abandona la industria musical para mudarse a Los Ángeles donde el clima es mejor para Dorothy. A medida que Dorothy se convierte en una adolescente, descubre el pasado musical de su padre, y logra convencerlo de abrir un pequeño club nocturno que está fracasando hasta que algunas figuras destacadas de su pasado vienen a ayudar.
