Christoph Friedrich Bretzner (10 décembre 1748 - 31 août 1807) était un marchand de Leipzig célèbre pour avoir écrit le livret d'un singspiel intitulé Belmont und Constanze, oder Die Entführung aus dem Serail, produit à Berlin et adapté en 1782 par Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart et Gottlieb Stephanie comme Die Entführung aus dem Serail. Il mourut le 31 août 1807 après être arrivé pour une représentation théâtrale à Leipzig.
