Fleet Foxes est un groupe de Seattle composé de cinq membres dont Robin Pecknold, son chanteur. Après Sun Giant, un premier EP, le quintet sort un premier album éponyme le 3 juin 2008 chez le label indépendant Sub Pop (Bella Union pour l'Europe). Le magazine rock américain Rolling Stone crédite le disque de 4 étoiles, le comparant aux Beach Boys, à Band of Horses, ou Crosby, Stills & Nash.
