The Waitresses était un groupe new wave américain d'Akron, Ohio, mieux connu pour ses singles "I Know What Boys Like" et "Christmas Wrapping". Ils ont sorti deux albums, Wasn't Tomorrow Wonderful? et Bruiseology, et deux EPs, I could Rule the World If I could only get the Parts and Make the Weather. Le groupe était dirigé par le guitariste-compositeur Chris Butler avec la voix principale interprétée par Patty Donahue.
