Thin Lizzy est un groupe irlandais de hard rock formé à Dublin en 1969. À l'origine un trio composé d'Eric Bell (guitariste), Phil Lynott (bassiste, chanteur et principal compositeur) et Brian Downey (batteur), le groupe connaît un premier succès en 1973 avec Whiskey in the Jar, une adaptation d'un air traditionnel irlandais.
