En Gotham City, un experimento fallido del Profesor Hugo Strange para extraer el mal de la galería de villanos de Batman saldría desastrosamente mal, dejando al noble Fiscal del Distrito Harvey Dent horriblemente desfigurado tanto física como mentalmente como el supervillano dicotómico, Two-Face.
Eventualmente, Dent es capturado por el Dúo Dinámico y aparentemente es curado de sus heridas para ayudarlo a reiniciar su vida como un ciudadano honesto. Sin embargo, más tarde hay una nueva ola de crímenes por otros enemigos de Batman que tienen el modus operandi de Two-Face, incluso mientras Dent aún parece ser inocente.
Por otro lado, Robin, ya celoso de la amistad más antigua de Bruce con Dent, no está tan seguro y el Dúo tiene una ruptura mientras discrepan sobre sus sospechas.
