Synopsis

Fahrenheit 451 est basé sur le roman de 1951 de Ray Bradbury du même nom. Guy Montag est un pompier qui vit dans une société solitaire et isolée où les livres ont été interdits par un gouvernement craignant un public pensant de manière indépendante. Il est du devoir des pompiers de brûler tous les livres en vue ou les collections signalées par des informateurs. Les gens dans cette société, y compris la femme de Montag, sont drogués pour se conformer et obtiennent leurs informations à partir d'écrans de télévision muraux. Après que Montag tombe amoureux de Clarisse, qui garde des livres, il commence à lire des livres confisqués. C'est à travers cette relation qu'il commence à remettre en question les motivations du gouvernement derrière la brûlure des livres. Montag est bientôt découvert, et il doit décider s'il doit retourner à son travail ou s'enfuir en sachant très bien les conséquences qu'il pourrait affronter s'il était capturé.
