Synopsis

Howard, un canard de la taille d'un enfant humain, est accidentellement amené sur Terre à travers un faisceau laser lors d'une expérience menée par un physicien de Cleveland, le Dr Walter Jenning, et son assistant Phil Blumburtt.

Howard se retrouve à Cleveland, où il sauve la chanteuse Beverly Switzer d'un groupe de voyous.

Beverly et Phil sont amis, et lorsque le gouvernement est informé de l'existence de Howard, elle aide Phil et le Dr Jenning à cacher Howard aux autorités jusqu'à ce qu'ils puissent le ramener chez lui.

Mais alors, un être maléfique arrive à travers le faisceau laser et prend possession du corps du Dr Jenning, mettant Howard, Beverly et Phil dans une lutte pour leur vie.
