Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band è il nome preso da Conor Oberst e dalla sua band di supporto, composta da Nik Freitas (chitarra), Taylor Hollingsworth (chitarra), Macey Taylor (basso), Nate Walcott (tastiere / organo) e Jason Boesel (batteria). La band si è formata per sostenere Oberst nel suo album solista del 2008, ma presto si è evoluta in una band tutta sua con tutti i membri che cantavano e fornivano canzoni per Outer South del 2009.
