Stephen Jeffreys (22 aprile 1950-17 settembre 2018) è stato un insegnante di drammaturgo e drammaturgo britannico. Ha scritto opere originali, film e adattamenti teatrali e ha anche lavorato come traduttore. Jeffreys è famoso per la sua opera teatrale The Libertine sul Conte di Rochester, che è stata rappresentata alla Steppenwolf Theater Company di Chicago con John Malkovich come Rochester, e successivamente adattata in un film interpretato da Malkovich e Johnny Depp.
