Sinossi
Una cronaca, che va dietro le quinte su una collaborazione burrascosa tra l'iconoclastica compagnia di danza, Pilobolus, e il leggendario autore-illustratore Maurice Sendak. Durante mesi di lavoro improvvisato in studio, trasformano un inquietante lascito dell'olocausto in un disturbante spettacolo teatrale.
Il documentario intreccia prove verità, interviste, rari filmati dell'olocausto e performance in una rivelazione del processo creativo. Girato in digibeta a schermo largo, Sendak con il suo partner del Night Kitchen Theater, Arthur Yorinks e i direttori artistici di Pilobolus, Robby Barnett, Michael Tracy e Jonathan Wolken ci mostrano la tenacia e l'arguzia che guidano il processo creativo quando artisti seri lavorano insieme.
