Sinossi
He Tianying è un ufficiale di polizia cinese di medio livello. Per dodici giorni e dodici notti, lui e sua moglie sono rimasti intrappolati nella loro casa durante una massiccia tempesta di sabbia che copre una vasta area della Cina. Sua moglie sta finendo le medicine per il sostentamento vitale, la loro giovane figlia è scomparsa durante la tempesta, l'elettricità e le comunicazioni telefoniche sono state interrotte e il cibo e l'acqua si stanno esaurendo.
