Story of the Eye Colonna sonora (2012)
Sinossi
Il nostro narratore maschio, Georges, ricorda i suoi primi incontri sessuali con l'incantevole Simone. Man mano che gli incontri diventano sempre più trasgressivi, i due personaggi lottano per il potere e il dominio. I tavoli vengono ribaltati; la storia viene poi raccontata dal POV molto diverso di Simone a un orribile climax. "Story of the Eye" è una critica feroce della tendenza, sia a Hollywood che in letteratura, a banalizzare la sessualità e il potere femminili. Simone e Georges combattono per l '"occhio" metaforico, ma la vera tensione esiste nella lotta su chi può raccontare la storia e, in definitiva, quale storia viene raccontata. L'iper-realtà dell'opera come dispositivo musicale / teatrale esagera ulteriormente questa dicotomia.
