Sinossi
Henry Kesdi è un compositore classico messo a tacere e un sopravvissuto all'Olocausto. Viene convinto dal pensionamento da un musicologo ispirato, Stefan, che lo convince a comporre una complessa sinfonia sul suo pianoforte trascurato. Come aiuto Kesdi ottiene la sua nuova segretaria musicale. La sua fedele moglie accetta con riluttanza la sua giovane amante.
