Nel 2009, Elton John chiama il suo mentore dei primi anni '70 e compagno di tour, Leon Russell e lo invita a fare un album in comune. Neil Young, Brian Wilson e Booker T. Jones entrano per un giorno o due, registrando brani. T Bone Burnett produce.
