Sinossi
Nel prossimo futuro, un gruppo criminale organizzato noto come "Outfit" è diventato una forza importante in America. L'ingegnere Julian Wilkes sviluppa un veicolo anti-crimine ad alta tecnologia chiamato Viper, che dovrebbe essere un "fiore all'occhiello" in una nuova repressione del crimine. La Viper ha bisogno di un autista, quindi quando l'autista dell'outfit Michael Payton viene ferito e catturato, la sua memoria viene cancellata e gli viene data una nuova identità come Joe Astor, dipendente della MetroPol. The Outfit scredita il progetto Viper, ma quando viene annullato, Joe e Julian rubano la Viper e danno inizio alla loro guerra privata contro il crimine.
