The Advent é um ato britânico de música eletrônica. Foi fundada em 1993 por Cisco Ferreira e Colin McBean. Logo após deixar a escola, Ferreira começou a trabalhar como engenheiro na Jack Trax Records, trabalho que lhe permitiu vislumbrar em primeira mão o trabalho de artistas como Derrick May e Marshall Jefferson. Ele começou a gravar em 1988 com C.J. Bolland como Space Opera (eventualmente lançando quatro singles pela R&S Records) e também gravou o primeiro single para Fragile ("Why Don't You Answer" como ele mesmo) ...
