Sinopse
Frenética de preocupação, Kendra Ellis-Connor (Kerry Washington) anda de um lado para o outro na área de espera de uma delegacia de polícia de Miami. Seu filho Jamal, de 18 anos, um dos melhores alunos prestes a entrar em West Point, saiu com amigos no início da noite e, estranhamente, não voltou nem entrou em contato com ela. Enquanto espera por seu ex-marido Scott (Steven Pasquale), Kendra é entrevistada pelo policial Paul Larkin (Jeremy Jordan), que garante a ela que suas perguntas sobre se Jamal tem antecedentes, um nome de rua ou dentes de ouro são estritamente protocolares e não racistas .
