Farmer and motel manager Vincent Smith has been providing smoked meat for more than 30 years to his neighbors and running the Motel Hello with his younger sister, Ida.
Both of them have a secret ingredient in their meat that their clients appreciate a lot. What they do not know is that Vincent and Ida use human flesh to give that delicious taste to their meat.
Vincent hunts down travelers using traps on the road, then Ida cuts their vocal cords so that they cannot scream for help and they bury them up to their necks in his secret garden, and every now and then he harvests some of his victims to prepare their meat.
His naive younger brother, Bruce, is the local sheriff and does not suspect any of the murderous activities of his older siblings.
When Vincent shoots the tire of a motorcycle on the road, he puts the rider, Boris Tulinski, in his garden and brings his wounded girlfriend, Terry, to the motel.
He learns that the girl has no family and decides to take care of her in the motel. Terry becomes attracted by Vincent despite the crush of Bruce on her.
When Vincent tells Terry that he will teach her how to prepare his smoked meat, Ida becomes jealous and tries to kill Terry.
Bruce decides to protect Terry and soon finds out about the hidden secrets down on the farm.
