Sinopse
Depois do encontro com o tubarão no Sea World, Sean Brody voltou para Amity. Aqui ele assumiu o papel de seu pai, trabalhando para o departamento de polícia, e está noivo de uma jovem chamada Tiffany. Sua mãe, Ellen, ainda mora em Amity também.
Mike Brody agora é casado com Carla e está pesquisando caracóis-concha com seu parceiro, Jake, nas Bahamas. Uma noite, enquanto consertava uma boia no porto de Amity do barco da polícia, Sean é emboscado por baixo e morto pelo antigo inimigo dos Brodys, um tubarão branco.
Depois do funeral, Ellen quer que Mike fique longe da água, mas ele se recusa e leva Ellen de volta para o Caribe com ele, sua esposa e filha, Thea. Ellen começa a tentar aproveitar a vida novamente, conhecendo o charmoso piloto Hoagie depois de ter sido viúva por um tempo.
