Synopsis

A 19-year-old maverick poet living in 1947 Czechoslovakia fails to see the communist giant staring back at him and instead lives a bohemian life with sexually liberated girls. There he writes the lyrics to many of the hits of the underground rock band 'The Plastic People of the Universe', a group heavily influenced by Frank Zappa and the Velvet Underground.
