Synopsis

"A Running Jump" is a short film directed by Mike Leigh. The story follows a father and son who are trying to make some quick money by entering a father-son three-legged race. The father, played by Eddie Marsan, is a bit of a con artist and comes up with a plan to cheat in the race. However, things don't go as smoothly as they had hoped and they end up getting caught. The film explores themes of family, loyalty, and the lengths people will go to in order to provide for their loved ones.
