Synopsis

In 1927, the urgent and relentless love of Maria Vitória and Inácio is interrupted by the young man's decision to cross the Atlantic in search of work, and his promise to return. Pregnant, Maria Vitória faces the wrath of her father, who decides to send her to a convent while the baby goes for adoption. Filled with courage, she goes after Inácio, hoping that together they could get their daughter back, but the couple ends up following different paths and living new love stories. They will have to face personal obstacles and the deranged jealousy of Inácio's intended until the inevitable moment of their reencounter in this classic story of growth and the immeasurable force of love.
