Synopsis

After witnessing nothing but acrimony between her parents, Kishen and Mala Chopra, who feud over Mumbai, Bunty refuses to marry his girlfriend, Tanya Gonsalves. He then introduces her to his eccentric grandfather, Professor Anthony Gonsalves, and discovers that the latter has invented a time travel machine. Bunty travels back in time, specifically Holi 1975, when Mumbai was called Bombay and he meets his parents when they were younger. He is surprised to find his father a buck-toothed wimp and his mother a bully-looking tomboy. Amid the terror of Raman Raghav, the imminent emergence of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the ban on multinationals including Coca Cola, and the charisma of superstar Rajesh Khanna, she sets out to try to patch things up not just between her parents. in dispute, but also their feuding grandparents.
