Synopsis

"Baantjer het begin" is a Dutch crime film that tells the story of a young detective named Jurre de Cock in the 1980s. De Cock is assigned to his first murder case in Amsterdam, where he teams up with his partner Montijn to solve the crime. As they delve deeper into the investigation, they uncover a web of corruption and deceit that leads them to the highest levels of power in the city. De Cock must navigate the dangerous underworld of Amsterdam while also dealing with personal struggles and challenges in his own life. The film is a prequel to the popular Baantjer television series and is based on the books by author A.C. Baantjer."
