Synopsis

Anastasia is a 1997 American animated musical drama film produced by Fox Animation Studios and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The film is loosely based on the legend of Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia, who is rumored to have survived the execution of her family.

The story follows a young amnesiac orphan named Anya who is taken in by two con men, Dimitri and Vladimir, who believe she may be the missing Anastasia. As they journey to Paris to reunite her with her grandmother, the Dowager Empress Marie, Anya begins to regain memories of her past and struggles to come to terms with her true identity.

Anastasia features memorable songs and stunning animation, capturing the magic and mystery of the Russian royal family. The film received critical acclaim for its storytelling and voice performances, with Meg Ryan voicing Anya and Christopher Lloyd as the villainous Rasputin.
