Avril Lavigne: Complicated Soundtrack (2002)

Synopsis

The video, directed by The Malloys, begins with Lavigne asking her bandmates if they want to "sneak" into the mall. They respond enthusiastically and skateboard there. The video shows Lavigne and the gang harassing shoppers and employees, likely wreaking havoc at the mall; for example, Lavigne watches her bandmates try on humorous clothing that is appropriately displayed as Lavigne sings the line "You come in unannounced, dressed like you're something else." This is interspersed with footage of Lavigne performing the song in a skate park while playing guitar, with her band playing along with her. People can be seen skating around Lavigne as she and her band perform the song. As she sings the line "You fall and crawl..." to herself, a skateboarder can be seen falling.
