Babu Soundtrack (1985)

Synopsis

Babu is a resourceful young man who likes to do whatever he can to help people. He has fallen in love with Kammo, but in the process of helping another, he ends up in jail for two years. After his discharge, he discovers that a lady who once helped him is now a destitute widow with a small child, Pinky. He decides to help, putting his personal life on hold, driving a hand-drawn rickshaw, saving some money so he can buy them groceries and send Pinky to a decent school. She attends school, but ends up being a snob, who is obviously embarrassed by her poor mother and can't stand Babu, making them both wonder if it was worth investing so much time and energy in an ungrateful child.
