Synopsis
Jerome Besson is a former heavyweight champion. Francis Besson desperately wants to win the approval of his father by following in his footsteps. Francis takes the chance of him in the world of legitimate boxing by coming out of the closet and has to fight in an underground fight club called the "arena". Jerome believes that the Arena has caused his son's homosexuality to evolve and he wants it out of him and will not lend his support. Carrie Cain Sparks gives a sensitive and powerful performance as Egypt, the strong-willed daughter who is her brother's pick-fighting man. Sparks is perfectly cast in Bashing, because since Egypt is at the center of every conflict, Sparks' stellar talent elevates every other performance to outstanding levels. Priscilla is a wealthy artist and fight fan who sets her sights on Francis. Egypt is determined to keep her out of it.
