Synopsis

Pride and Prejudice, Cut is a modern retelling of Jane Austen's classic novel, set in a high school in present-day New York City. The story follows Lizzie Bennet, a strong-willed and independent senior who is determined to make her own way in the world. She clashes with the arrogant and wealthy William Darcy, but as they get to know each other better, they realize they may have more in common than they thought.

The Bennet family is struggling to make ends meet, with Lizzie's mother constantly trying to marry off her daughters to wealthy suitors.
