The use of repetitive and simplistic melodies in the soundtrack of Cat Soup became monotonous and distracting, detracting from the immersive experience of the film. The lack of depth and complexity in the music failed to enhance the depth of the characters and the philosophical themes explored in the story, leaving me longing for a more nuanced and engaging musical score.

On the other hand, while the soundtrack of Cat Soup effectively conveys the surreal and dark nature of the story, at times it can feel overwhelming and disjointed. The avant-garde musical choices and dissonant harmonies may be off-putting for some viewers, detracting from the overall viewing experience. Additionally, the lack of traditional melodic themes or memorable motifs in the soundtrack can make it difficult for the audience to emotionally connect with the characters and the narrative, resulting in a somewhat alienating listening experience.
