Synopsis

Chef's Special tells the story of Maxi (Javier Cámara), a famous cook who owns a top hyped restaurant in Chueca, the gay district of Madrid. His main goal is to get the restaurant rated by the Michelin guide, and he is living the homosexual lifestyle without any problems.

Maxi's closest confidants are his employees, including Alex (Lola Dueñas) and Ramiro (Fernando Tejero). However, when his son Edu (Junio Valverde) and daughter from an unsuccessful marriage appear, along with a new neighbor named Horacio (Benjamín Vicuña), Maxi's life is turned upside down and he begins to question his values.

The film is filled with non-stop comedy twists involving Maxi, his children, his employees, the handsome neighbor, and even Maxi's parents. Just when you think you can't laugh anymore, the story takes things one step further.
