Synopsis

KYLE BROWN (late 20s) recounts his experience with being a first time father. The oldest of three children, Kyle finds himself being the man of the house. He made up in his mind at a young age that he would never leave his children. Years later, Kyle meets a young woman CRYSTAL SAMPSON (late 20s) and temporarily falls in love with her. Together, the two become proud parents of a baby girl, KYA. Unsure of what to expect, Kyle dives head first into fatherhood. Excited to be a father, Kyle immediately falls in love with KYA and is determined to give her everything she needs. At the same time, his relationship with Crystal begins to spiral out of control.

As the relationship continues, Kyle realizes his love for Crystal turns into animosity and the two decides to end their relationship. Kyle struggles to make sure Kya isn't tainted by the separation. Soon Crystal notices Kyle is beginning to date other women and grows furious. She makes a decision to disrupt Kyle's life and files for child support. Keeping his promise to himself, Kyle doesn't allow that to stop him from being a great father to Kya. Meanwhile, Crystal does everything in her power to block Kyle from seeing Kya. Kyle is devastated.

Battling FOC and Crystal, Kyle keeps his job at the factory while trying to focus on his career as a comedian. Having no where else to turn, Kyle asks Brianna to help him get his daughter back. However, Kyle feels betrayed when he finds out Brianna is in fact the daughter of Judge Martin. Feeling deceived, Kyle breaks off his relationship with Brianna. After a family feud between Brianna and Judge Martin, he decides to rescues himself from Kyle and Crystal's FOC case. Finally, Kya becomes tainted by the absence of her father, Kyle. Crystal realizes how much Kya misses her father. She understands what needs to be done.

Within days, Crystal and Kyle are back in court. She decides to request a termination of Kyle's order of child support and allows him to start spending time with Kya. Brianna apologizes to Kyle for lying to him. Kyle and Kya are back together again and the both of them are happy. Kyle finally gets a chance to share his jokes about his life and his experience with FOC.
