Chuck & Buck is a 2000 American black comedy film directed by Miguel Arteta. The film follows the story of childhood friends Chuck and Buck who reunite after many years. Chuck has moved on with his life, while Buck remains stuck in the past, still living with his mother and working a dead-end job.
When Buck's mother dies, he reaches out to Chuck for support. However, Chuck is now engaged and wants nothing to do with his old friend. Undeterred, Buck begins to obsessively pursue Chuck, leading to a series of uncomfortable and increasingly disturbing encounters.
The film explores themes of friendship, obsession, and the difficulty of moving on from the past. With its dark humor and unsettling tone, Chuck & Buck offers a unique and thought-provoking look at the complexities of adult relationships.
